Before first use remove all packaging material including those that may be inside the slots or tasting levers slots. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Do not immerse the toaster, cord, and plug in water. Be sure the crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the toaster and the toasting levers are in the up position. Unwrap the power cord from the storage area of the underside of the toaster and plug it into a 220-240V AC outlet. Turn the browning control to the MAX (LEVEL 7) Lower the loading lever until they lock into place. operate once or twice to burn off any manufacturing residue. You may notice a light amount of smoke; this is normal and will stop as the heating elements continue to heat. Place the toaster on a flat, level, heat resistant surface, away from any flammable material such as cabinets or wall fabric. Make sure the crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the toaster and the toasting levers are in the up position. Plug the power cord into 220 -240Volt, 50Hz AC outlet. To minimize cord clutter on kitchen countertops, use Cord Wrap located under the toaster. Position the browning knob to the desired setting. Insert bread or toaster food into the bread slots. Lower the loading lever (s) until locked into place. The automatic centring guides hold food upright for uniform side to side toasting. When the bread is lowered into position, toasting will begin. To test toasting time for browning, position the browning selector knob between level 3 and 4(medium): the adjust each subsequent toasting to your preference. When the toast reaches the selected browning level, it will pop up automatically. Remove bread from the bread slots, use care when removing the bread as the bread and the top of the toaster will still be hot. To interrupt toasting, press the cancel button. To reheat cold toast, press the reheat button. To defrost frozen bread, insert frozen slice into the bread slots. Push the loading lever all the way down and then press the DEFROST button. When the toaster is not in use, remove unplug the cord from the wall outlet.Care and cleaning crumbs will accumulate in the crumb tray and could catch fire if not emptied periodically. Empty the crumb tray frequently. Turn the toaster upside-down over a dust bin or basin and shake gently to dislodge any additional crumbs which did not fall onto the crumb tray. Then replace the clean, dry crumb tray. Tips when toasting raisin or other fruit breads, remove any loose raisins or fruit from the surface of the bread before putting it into your toaster. This will help prevent fruit pieces from falling into your toaster or sticking to the guard wires in the toasting slot. Moisture levels differ from one bread to another so toasting times can vary. For slightly dry bread, use a lower setting than normal. For fresh bread or whole wheat bread, use a higher setting than normal.
