100 Days To Go

0

Today is a significant and historical day in South Africa. There is a 100 days to go to Africa’s exhibition, the Soccer World Cup. Soccer/Football is arguably the most popular sport in the world and has the potential to captivate a nation, continents attention. For 4 weeks the attention of the world will be on South Africa and one hopes that we will be able to create an event that will create memories for all involved. The stadia that have been built look world class and will leave a legacy for South Africans after the conclusion of the tournament.

The most important factor will be how spectators and fans embrace the tournament. South Africans have shown over the years that we love sport and have supported previous World Cups (1995 Rugby and 2003 Cricket respectively) and international tournaments (the Sevens at George and the Indian Premier League).

So how can you show your support? You can purchase replica jerseys for the participating nations and attend the various matches, all over South Africa. If you have not registered to buy tickets for the event, I suspect that you might have to watch it on TV.  Now Bafana Bafana just need to prove us all wrong and perform during the World Cup.
