Lenovo Spicing up their Business

0

The lines between work and play are gradually becoming vague for IT based staff. System administrators are being forced to ensure that personal tablets and smart phones are made secure when staff access proprietary data and systems. Then don’t forget your trusty work notebook that carries all your passwords and work on it.

Lenovo have announced that they are going to be making their business notebook more “fun” to cater for this gradual shift. So you might still be trying to figure out how you add the fun element to a business notebook. Well Lenovo claim that they are the first to provide Dolby Home Theatre 4 functionality on business notebooks. Then add game-speed graphics, vivid screens, and HDMI ports for routing films or other data-rich digital content to high-definition television screens or muscular speakers. That boring fuddy duddy business notebook is now a hip and fun young hacker that screams for attention.

“We are adding elements that are more relevant and interesting to consumers,” ThinkPad marketing director Tom Butler said while demonstrating new features that included audio enhanced with Dolby Home Theatre 4. This may seem to be a very small “announcement” but I believe that this will be done by many traditional business notebook manufacturers. Lenovo has tried to stay with the times through the various ThinkPad netbooks that they have brought to the market to ensure that they have something different in comparison to their competitors.

Think about one thing today.. How many hours do you spend using your notebook? I guess if you are similar to me then you take your work laptop home and then check email. Do searches and continue working. Rinse and repeat for 5 days and your notebook is almost a close family member.

So is your notebook fun or a serious business notebook.. ?
