One year ago, WhatsApp announced that there were one billion people around the world using WhatsApp every month. As of yesterday, there are now one billion people around the world using WhatsApp every single day.
That works out to one out of every seven or eight people using the popular communication platform, every day.
To put into context just how huge that is, Instagram, (Facebook) Messenger, and Facebook have 700 Million, 1.2 Billion, and 2 billion monthly users, respectively.
The communication platform has continued to adapt and improve its services, moving beyond being merely a messenger service by providing voice, video calling and file sharing options.
