November brings with it some new gaming releases for fans of the Need for Speed and Star Wars franchises, along with a mysterious game from the maker of the Metal Gear Solid series!

Death Stranding

Release date: 9 November 2019 (PS4)

It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you can’t help but be intrigued by Death Stranding. Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is behind the project, which follows a character known as Sam (mo-capped by The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus) who has to deliver packages across a fractured United States torn apart by a horrific cataclysmic event.

Need for Speed Heat

Release date: 8 November 2019 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

The next iteration in the veteran racing Need for Speed franchise is Need for Speed: Heat, which is set in a new location to the series, the fictional yet Miami-inspired Palm City. The game returns to its large open world setting, where players can compete in both legal races during the day and illegal underground antics at night. Players will also be able to customise their cars – with everything from the aesthetics right down to the tuning of certain performance parts – being open to changes and tweaking.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Release date: 15 November 2019 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

The Star Wars resurgence continues with another entry in the video game world. Developed by Respawn Entertainment (who created the underappreciated Titanfall games), Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order follows one of the last surviving Jedi, Cal, as he evades a galaxy-wide purge of all Jedi at the hands of the Galactic Empire. The gameplay is a combination of Uncharted-like traversal and exploration with a slower and more methodical lightsaber combat. It’s almost like a spiritual successor to the Force Awakens franchise from last-generation, but brings a ton of new ideas and mechanics to please the newer generation of gamers.
