Sunday is Father’s day in South Africa. We celebrate the impact that fathers have had in society and fatherhood. Fathers in my opinion seem to be less celebrated than mothers but both play an important role in our community. It is a “thank you” for all the lifts he has given you, fixed your bicycle or watching you play sport.
So what can you get as a present for your father?
- A GPS would be a great idea as it can help him save money by driving the shortest distance between 2 places. He also will never be lost as he can then search on his GPS for directions and information.
- If dad is an outdoor person then a new knife would be a great gift. He will always remember it well, if you get it engraved.
- A garden tool for him would be great help in the garden. Nothing is more frustrating as not having shears or a shovel in the garage to work with.
- If he is a sports fan, maybe a rugby jersey or a soccer jersey from his favorite team.
- If you want to surprise him then an experience gift would be a real treat.
Also do not forget to tell him “happy father’s day” on Sunday morning.
