Archery is a sport that gets limited attention. You are either a member of an archery club and enjoy the thrill of shooting at a stationary target. The other way you may get exposed to archery is by using a crossbow for outdoor hunting purposes.
I find it fascinating to watch archery at the Olympics every 4 years. There are many things to consider when shooting at any target.
- The speed of the wind – The wind has the potential to make your arrow go off target. A slight gust can change the direction of your arrow.
- Your stance – Are you standing on a firm and flat area. Your feet should be open as far as your shoulder width. Your stance should ensure that you are comfortable and that body weight is evenly distributed.
You should also ensure that your equipment takes into account your height and body type. So ensure that all your equipment is of proper size. Archery, I suspect is an activity that provides a way to release stress.
