Today is Earth Day and it is a reminder to humans to think about our environment. In my mind this activity should be constantly in the back of our minds and not just on one day. Regular readers will be aware that I have written about water conservation and the proper usage of this natural resource.
I think that the biggest issue facing mankind in the next 20 years is, how we will be able to generate power. Energy production is one of the biggest culprits in terms of pollution. Having the opportunity to use a natural resource to generate power seems a very logical solution to this challenge. Alternative energy solutions are available but are a tad more expensive than the normal products, as the adoption levels are still in the growing phase for homeowners.
Solar power and wind power products are becoming more accessible to the public as the technology become less expensive. Green home products are also being more widely seen as manufacturers realise that it is the right thing to do. So a solar panel, solar geyser and a wind turbine is a wise investment.
