TCL launched its latest line of Google LED TVs that will be available in the South African market.
Included in the range are the brand’s C835, C735, C635, P735 and P635 models, which cover the Mini LED QLED, and 4K capabilities. However, the range is headlined by the flagship C835 Mini LED TV, which is a brand-new model optimised for gaming and sport viewing.

The 65-inch C835 (R25,999) features the brand’s Mini LED Display which has smaller and more intricate LEDs in the panel, allowing more precise lighting, along with darker contrasts or brightness when needed. Another highlight is the 144Hz VRR refresh rate, which provides an incredibly smooth and stutterless experience. Other industry-leading features include IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision IQ and Atmos Support, HDR 10+ and Wide Colour Gamut.
The C835 also features Onkyo audio hardware, which delivers a home theatre-level bass experience, compared to other TVs.
The gaming-centric C735 (R12,999) is a 55-inch QLED 4K TV that also features Game Master Pro, which provides gaming-specific settings and enhancements via a dedicated Game Bar menu, which can help improve latency issues, optimise the colour, and even add a crosshair if need be.
Both models have already received global recognition as the 65-inch C835 was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award for Best Design and also the EISA Award for ‘Premium Mini LED TV 2022-23” while the 55-inch C735 received the EISA Award for “Best Buy LED TV”.
As the first brand to introduce Google TVs to the country, the entire new lineup comes equipped with the latest OS variant, allowing users to easily enjoy their favourite content (movies, shows, TV episodes, etc) all in one place, as well as the latest smart functions developed by TCL including integrated a hands-free voice control system.
Pricing and availability
The new TCL range of Mini LED Google Tvs will be available in late October 2022. It was confirmed that Makro and Pick n Pay would stock the new TCL range. Pricing is as follows:
