LG’s G6 is undoubtedly a powerhouse. Unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year, the G6 was the first smartphone from a major electronics company to showcase a nearly bezel-less display along with the new 18:9 aspect ratio.
While bezel-less displays are becoming the new norm for smartphones, they’ve been reserved for premium, high-end devices, until now that is.
LG’s new upper mid-range handset, the Q6, is the first smartphone to bring the nearly bezel-less display to mid-range segment.
The Q6 echoes a lot of the much loved design found in the flagship G6, including the FullVision display, and could easily be mistaken for its flagship counterpart.
Looks and design aside, the Q6 continues LG’s heritage of great smartphone optics. It might not have a dual rear facing camera setup but the camera does take advantage of LG’s improved UX 6.0. It features Square Camera Mode makes it easy to “share your squares” or create photo collages using multiple square images.The smartphone incorporates a 100-degree wide angle selfie camera that allows shutterbugs to include a large group of friends and family in the shot without effort.

The LG Q6 will be launching in South Africa in September 2017 with an expected cash price of R6 399.
