The current Xbox One console is exactly the most lightweight or portable console, which is why the announcement that a newer, slimmer and sleeker Xbox One is arriving soon is welcome news.
Microsoft have announced that the new Xbox One S will be releasing in selected regions on August 2nd.
The new 40% smaller Xbox One S will be released early next month in selected regions for $399 for a 2TB console. While there will be other smaller consoles (500GB and 1TB) released eventually, they won’t be hitting the shelves at the same time as the 2TB version.
The Xbox One S is not only a smaller console, but also includes a few other new features. It now comes with 4K/HDR video playback, and a wireless controller that features new textured gripping. No word yet as to when we can expect the Xbox One S to arrive on South African shores, but we’ll be keeping you updated.
