Towering centerpieces are all the rage this season – be it flowers, candelabras or both! This added height brings a touch of drama and elegance to your tables and is perfect for large rooms with high ceilings.

The last few years has seen a move from traditional round tables to long, elegant banquet tables at wedding receptions. These add a touch of formality to the festivities, while still allowing your guests to socialise . Banquet tables also compliment the tall centerpieces that are so en vogue this wedding season.

Couples are getting more in touch with nature this season, too. Rustic weddings have been trending for a while, but this season it’s being taken to the next levelcamp-style weddings.  Think loosely hand-tied wild flower bouquets, homemade guest favours, vows exchanged under trees and guests camping out with the newlyweds!

Mercury Glass

No matter the type of reception, a bit of bling never hurt any bride. Using mercury glass will add this touch of sparkle and will fit in well at a formal sit down reception or a rustic, or Victorian style wedding. A word of advice, although nice on its own, mercury glass is most attractive when grouped together.

Colour Me Pretty

Their is no easier way to make sure that your wedding is on trend than with the colour scheme. The hottest colour this season is Radiant Orchid, which means that we will be seeing lots of pinks and purples. These colours can be used in conjunction with the ombre trend where colours can blend into each other from light to dark. This will work with everything from your bridesmaids’ dresses, cakes, flowers and so forth.

Now that you know some of the hottest wedding trends for 2014/2015, go and incorporate it into your big day, to ensure that it is both memorable and fashionable.
