Product Details Overview
We want you to create effective feeds to attract buyers that comply with our policies
Keep in mind when listing your products and offers via XML feeds:
Remember: Prohibited products and/or content are unacceptable on PriceCheck and will be removed if deemed prohibited. See Restricted Product List and Restricted Content List.
Before listing your product, merchants should make sure that the item they are listing is authentic. If a fake product is discovered listed on PriceCheck, the product will be removed and the merchant will be subject to being permanently suspended from listing on PriceCheck
Authenticity Guidelines
Sellers can make the following statements to express an items authenticity in the Offer Note:
Merchants cannot do the following:
List product titles clearly and accurately. The product title should help identify an item. Being honest about what you are selling helps buyers find exactly what they are looking for. Avoid giving false details just to attract people to your listing. Remember, inaccurate or misleading product titles are not allowed on PriceCheck. Product titles should be clear to the buyer.
Product Title Restrictions
Promote the product you want to sell with detailed information based on the products specifications and features. Provide complete and accurate details when describing the product your are selling. By providing clear and accurate details about your product it significantly helps people make informed buying decisions. Buyers will get what they expect when they receive your product. Focus only on the product details in the description, not the promotional aspect.
Please Note: Do not include promotional or contact information in the product description nor anywhere on the listing page.
Product Description Page Layout:
If you use product descriptions from available the manufacturers marketing material that is more than 1000 characters long, we suggest to use most relevant information for that product for sale. Describe only the product you are actually selling.
Bullet points are allowed in descriptions.

Product Description Restrictions
1.1.D - Brand Names Policy
A brand name product can be mentioned in your listing. The brand information must be accurate and properly describes the specific product you are selling. Your product must be authentically branded with that brand name you are listing.
1.1.E - Keyword Policy
Content spamming is when people use words or details (such as brand names, product condition, model names, pop culture terms, product styles, and product types) that have nothing to do with your products so that your listings show up in search engine results. It is ok to use synonyms to describe a product (e.g. you can call a handbag a purse.)
Please Note: All the words used in your listing must be accurate and must refer only to the specific product for sale.
1.1.F - Links and URL's Policy
Only product URLs and image URLs are permissible in feeds provided to PriceCheck
1.1.G - Image Policy
All products must include proper images for the specific product listed for sale on PriceCheck. Product images are key buying factors when people view your product. Always provide clear and detailed images that truly represent your product to avoid confusion about what you are selling.
Image Restrictions
2 - Content Policy
As a merchant, you are legally liable for your actions on PriceCheck. You must know the legal limitations surrounding any product you offer for sale. Before listing your product, you have to make sure it's allowed on PriceCheck. You also need to make sure that the sale of your product complies with all applicable laws in the country you live in.
Our policies are not only based on country laws, they are also based on customer feedback and our discretion, especially for dangerous or sensitive products.
2.1 - Restricted Listings Policy
The list of prohibited and restricted products below covers products and items that cannot be listed in your feed that is provided to PriceCheck. Make sure your feed doesn't include any of these products or items. If your feed does contain products or items deemed prohibited, it will be removed and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including suspension of your account.

Please do not provide your contact details inside Product descriptions nor titles.
2.1.E - Image Restrictions

Any adult products that would be categorized as being for Adults Only are not to be added to feeds. This includes movies, books
2.2 - Restricted Product List
Animals and Animal Products: No living creature of any kind allowed to be sold or listed for sale on PriceCheck; such as house hold pets, farm animals, wildlife, reptiles, and insects. This also applies to animal organs.
Art: Unauthorized copies or reproductions of artwork that violates any copyrights and trademarks.
Clothing:
Lingerie: The Shop must provide images without
exposed skin or body parts.
(Best option, display lingerie without a model,
clothing only, to ensure quick and successful
listing.)
Currency Exchange,
Counterfeit Money, Trading Money, and Cash
Equivalents: including currency currently
in use, counterfeit coins and paper money (such as
bank notes, bonds, and money orders), stocks and
securities.
Equipment designed to create money or counterfeit
items is prohibited.
Drugs: Any banned subsctance that is not permissible for sale inside the Republic of South Africa.
Gambling and Lottery: including lottery tickets, coin operated slot machines, and slot machines that can be converted to use coins, credit cards, and cash.
Hazardous Chemicals and Dangerous Products: including products containing Bisphenol A (BPA); products containing Carbon Tetrachloride; explosives; books with information on how to make explosive devices; products containing red phosphorous; products containing thermite; used oil; products and batteries containing mercury; and products contaminated by radiation.
Media: Unauthorized copies or reproductions of media that violate any copyright or trademark.
Pornography: Pornographic or XXX rated movies of any kind as well as pornographic magazines of any kind are not allowed to be listed on PriceCheck.
Offensive Products: Products that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial slurs, sexual or religious intolerance are prohibited as well as promoting any organization with such views

Postage Meters & Stamps: including listings for sale or lease of postage meters, counterfeit stamps and equipment designed to create counterfeit stamps.
Software: Unauthorized copies or reproductions of software that violate any copyright or trademark. cell Phone unlocking software and software to jailbreak iPhone phones.
Other: including:
2.3 - Restricted Content List
Nudity: Nudity is generally not accepted to be displayed on PriceCheck. Therefore, images that portray nudity in a gratuitous or graphic manner are prohibited.
Pornography: Images that portray nudity are prohibited from being listed on PriceCheck.
Offensive Products: Products that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial slurs, sexual or religious intolerance are prohibited as well as promoting any organization with such views.

2.4 - Dangerous Items
Explosives: Products that are designed to explode and could cause damage to nearby people or property, this includes ANY resource describing how to make explosives. Examples: Nail bomb, chemical bomb, any fireworks that explode, firecrackers, grenades
Guns & parts: Functional devices that appear to discharge a projectile at high velocity, whether for sport, self-defense, or combat. Any part or component that's necessary to the function of a gun or intended for attachment to a gun. PLEASE NOTE: We apply this policy to sporting or recreational guns that can cause serious harm if misused, or that appear to be real guns. Examples: Handguns, rifles, shotguns, hunting guns, functioning antique guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, bb guns, scopes, ammunition, ammunition clips or belts.
Knives: Knives that are designed or promoted as products that can be used to injure an opponent in sport, self-defense, or combat. This also includes any knife design that provides a confrontational advantage, e.g disguised appearance or assisted-opening mechanism. Examples: Switchblades, tactical knives, fighting knives, sword-canes, balisongs, military knives, push daggers, throwing axes
Other weapons: Any other product that's designed to injure an opponent in sport, self-defense, or combat Examples: Throwing stars, brass knuckles, crossbows
