Description
With the Linear PS15Z-1 Z-Wave Plug-In Appliance-Switch you get wireless and remote control for your plug-in small appliances in addition to anything permanently-installed that is controlled by Z-Wave switches or dimmers. This means that coffee makers, fans, audio equipment or anything else in your rooms can also be included as part of your Z-Wave 'scene'. The PS15Z allows wireless Z-Wave remote ON/OFF control of the plugged in items using a remote, wall controller, or smart phone or tablet. The plug-in appliance switch features a unique Autosense feature, which is great when you go to turn on or off a connected appliance using the item's switch instead of your Z-Wave controller. Autosense automatically understands that you want to turn the device "on" or "off", when you click the item's switch and responds to your command, without you having to stop and go to the Z-Wave controller. Also, the PS15Z features an 'always-on' pass-through plug receptacle that is not controlled by Z-Wave, so that you can still have two items plugged into the outlet - one controlled by Z-Wave and one not controlled. The PS15Z is compatible with motors up to 1/2 HP, heating or cooling devices up to 15 amps/1,800 watts and incandescent, fluorescent, compact fluorescent, halogen and LED plug-in lights, whose capacity is 600 watts or less. Liner's PS15Z plug-in switch can be included in a programmed lighting 'scene', such that multiple Z-Wave-connected lights or electrical items can be turned on or off with a single click of your controller or remote device. Z-Wave controllers - I. e. hubs/gateways/remotes are sold separately. Maximum Load: Resistive: 15 amps (1800 watts) maximum, 120 Vasomotor: 1/2 H.
