Description
The Atomic SV2 Flex Snorkel is a black and red snorkel that is part of the SV series. It features a one-way Scupper Valve that allows water to be easily expelled from the lower section. The snorkel also has a purge valve that allows water to bypass the mouthpiece and exit the top of the snorkel. The internal tube of the snorkel contains a one-way Scupper flap valve that prevents water from collecting at the bottom of the breathing passage. This feature keeps the internal tube airway dry and can be easily cleared by exhaling a small burst of air. The snorkel is simple and effective, and a patent is pending for its design.

SV Series How they workJust like the one-way Scupper Valve on a boat, the lower section of both the SV1 and SV2 (semi-dry) enable water to be easily expelled. Any water entering the top of the snorkel (1) bypasses the mouthpiece completely and exits out the purge valve (4). If water did enter the internal tube (2) located inside the main snorkel body, it contains a small one-way Scupper flap valve (3) designed to allow water to flow past the mouthpiece and out the purge valve (4) without collecting at the bottom of the breathing passage. The diver simply exhales a small burst of air to clear any water trapped below the mouthpiece, and the internal tube airway is kept dry. Its so simple and so effective we have a patent pending!
