It is the eleventh major instalment, and twentieth overall, in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins. The game was directed by Jonathan Dumont and Scott Phillips, with series composer The Flight and writer Hugo Giard also contributing.
