Milon And The Lion

The story is about a young slave named Milon who goes on many adventures in different parts of the world. He narrowly escapes death in Pompeii when the volcano Vesuvius erupts, he experiences the colorful life of Alexandria in Egypt, and he faces a battle for life and death in the Colosseum in Rome. In Rome, he meets a small community of Christians who teach him about his true purpose in life. The story culminates with Milon's death at the hands of the Roman emperors, but in the end the lion remembers him and returns the favor.
