Description
The Ka-Bar 1482 TDI Law Enforcement Knife is a larger version of the popular TDI Law Enforcement Knife. The knife is designed by John Benner, founder and owner of Tactical Defense Institute. The knife is sold with a hard plastic sheath that is fitted with flexible Cordura straps to mount to pant and duty belts, tactical vests, and more. The knife is designed to be worn on the pant belt and is well concealed. The knife is made of AUS-8A steel and has a hardness of 57-59 RC. The knife has a drop point blade style and a hollow edge. The handle is made of zytel and is 9.84 cm long. The knife is black in color and has a kydex sheath.

In extreme close quarters encounters where a suspect is attempting to take an officer's handgun, or an officer cannot access his handgun, the TDI knife is available as a "last option" knife.
