Description
Spikenard essential oil is a type of essential oil that is derived from the Nardostachys jatamansi plant. It is known for its anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, fungicidal, and sedative properties. It is also said to be helpful for migraines, stress and tension, and ageing skin. The recipe for a Spikenard calming roll-on is as follows: 5 dropslavender, 5 dropsspikenard, fractionated coconut oil, and glass bottle.
Spikenard essential oil is perhaps best known as the oil used by Mary to anoint the feet of Jesus before the Last Supper. Spikenard is very similar to Valerian (it can be used as a substitute) and its sweet woody aroma makes it a nice oil to add to soaps and bath oils, or crystals.
