Description
Savvy White De-alcoholised Wine is a non-alcoholic wine with less than 0.5% alcohol per volume and low in calories. It has a palate of tropical fruit and lime flavors with fresh acidity and a lingering aftertaste. The wine is meant to be enjoyed in its purest and natural form, without the restrictions of alcohol. The Lautus De-Alcoholised wine brand was launched in 2017 to create a non-alcoholic wine that captures the complexity and elegance of premium wine. The alcohol is removed using spinning cone technology at low temperatures, with the flavors being removed first and then added back in after the alcohol is removed. This process results in a significant volume loss, which is replaced by grape juice to balance the acidity. The wine is made using traditional winemaking practices before being bottled.

{Lout us} [Latin]: pure, elegant and sumptuous. In 2017 Lautus De-Alcoholised wines were launched to produce a non-alcoholic wine that would portray the beautiful complexity, elegance and finesse of premium wine. Great care is taken at this stage to work as gently as possible to retain all the beautiful flavours from fermentation.
The alcohol is removed via spinning cone technology at low temperature under vacuum. The initial phase is to first remove the flavour, set aside. Then the alcohol is removed and once done the flavour can be put back into the de-alcoholised wine. There is a significant volume loss during the process, a portion of this is replaced by grape juice. This helps to fill out the palate and balanced acidity. Normal winemaking practices are followed from here in preparation for bottling.
