This is a description of the Faber-Castell Pitt Oil Base Pencil Extra Soft Black. The pencil is designed for sketching and is harder than a conventional pastel pencil. The lines you create do not disappear completely when smudged, they are also water and fade resistant. The pencils are ideal for contours, outlines and fine details and are rich in pigment. The harder core also means that they may be a bit more durable when sharpening them to a fine point. The pencil is available in 5 degrees of hardness ranging from extra soft to extra hard.
