The Saramonic SR-M3 is an affordable on-camera shotgun microphone that delivers broadcast-quality sound to DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, video cameras, and audio recorders. It features a versatile array of useful features, including a headphone output, an additional 3.5mm microphone input, and a +10dB boost switch. The mic also has a metal 1/4-20 tripod thread and a low-cut switch that makes dialogue more intelligible and eliminates distracting rumble sounds. The mic is built-in to a shock-mount and runs on one AAA battery with a power LED light and high-quality switches. The included foam windscreen is ideal for indoor use, but the optional furry windscreen can be used for outdoor recording in windy conditions.
