Description
This is a description of Turneras Milk Paint, a water-based paint made with casein from Morinaga milk and acrylic as a binder. The paint comes in 16 muted pastel tones that replicate the rustic appearance of early American furniture. The paint should be applied in two or more thin layers to a clean surface with a slight grain or tooth, and should not be used on extremely smooth surfaces. Because casein is a non-flexible paint, it should only be applied to rigid supports such as thick paper or card, wood, metal or cement. Application to a flexible support such as canvas may result in cracking. The paint should be stored away from direct sunlight and sources of heat and humidity. When painting table tops or other durable surfaces, it is desirable to give the surface a final coat of Turner Top Coat Clear UV to protect the colors from bleaching or abrasion.
Turneras Milk Paint is a water-based paint available in 16
colours which contains casein (a protein extracted from cows-milk)

to a matte, water-resistant finish and can be used on walls, wooden
furniture, signs or interiors for a streaky or mottled

(i.e. dust-, dirt- and oil-free) surface which has a slight grain
or tooth. They are not suitable for use on extremely smooth
surfaces such as PVC, glass or plastic unless the surface in
question has been prepared with the Turner Multi Primer (see
below). Please be aware that casein is a non-flexible paint which
should only be applied to rigid supports such as thick paper or
card, wood, metal or cement. Application to a flexible support such
as canvas may result in cracking.Because Turneras Milk Paint
contains natural ingredients, it must be stored away from direct
sunlight and from sources of heat and humidity. When painting table
tops or other durable surfaces, it is desirable to give the surface

craze as if they have suffered severe weathering;a Plaster Medium,
for use under paint layers for a stuccoed texture, or for mixing
with Turneras Milk Paints for impasto effects;a Multi Primer,
which will render smooth surfaces suitable for the application of
Turneras Milk Paints;a Rust Medium, which will mimic the effects
of oxidation on a painted metal surface;a Clear Top Coat, which
improves the durability of the casein paint, imparts a glossy sheen
to it, and protects the colours from UV bleaching.This is a 200ml
