The tinting zinc has a higher concentration of pigment, which means that when mixed with other colors, it will make the mix semi-opaque. The transparent chinese white has a lower concentration of pigment, which means that color mixes will remain transparent.

part of the aquarellist (so little paint is needed from the tube or
cup for the desired colour effect that you have to get used to the
