The paint is made with only the finest raw materials and is bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. This means that the paint will differ slightly year on year. The paint is extremely lightfast, has opaque staining/non-staining properties, and is made with a PG17Hematite Black pigment index.

resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam watercolours contains
only the finest raw materials. The paints are bound with Kordofan
gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of
the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on
year. Schmincke continually test the ingredient and the best of the
batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This
means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily
re-wetted and painted with again. Among the range are 139 colours,
with 95 single pigment hues for clean mixing.
