The Daler-Rowney Aquafine AF48 Fan Blender is a brush made with thick and thin filaments, tapered to a point, and different lengths to create an imitation of natural sable hair. The brush has excellent shape retention and longer life than natural sable hair. The fan-shaped head is used for subtle blending of color on the surface and in dry brushwork for distant trees and foreground foliage.
Aquafine uses Daler-Rowney's unique formulation of thick and thin
filaments, tapered to a point, as well as different lengths to become a

This special construction allows Daler-Rowney synthetic brushes to
outperform all other synthetic brushes in point and stroke, and
guarantees that the brushes will not split. They have excellent shape
