Water In China

The article discusses the rapid growth of cities in China and how this is having a negative impact on the environment. To counteract this, a remediation programme needs to be designed and brought into action. Research and development activity is required to provide tailored solutions. The book discusses the current situation in China with respect to surface water quality and wastewater treatment, and provides results of specific research projects. Lessons to be learnt from the experience made in other countries are also discussed.
