Originally published in 1913, this book presents a catalogue of those matriculated or admitted to any degree in the University of Cambridge from 1544 to 1659. The text was compiled by John Venn and J. A. Venn. A detailed historical introduction is also included. It made a considerable contribution to the history of the university, making available for the first time in print the names of thousands of alumni.
