Description
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a surfactant that is sulfate free and gentle. It can be used as both a primary and secondary surfactant, and its gentle nature means it can be used as the primary surfactant in baby formulations. It is also amphoteric, which means it can be used in a variety of products. The ingredients include cocamidopropyl betaine, distilled water, coco betaine, vegetable glycerine, Geogard 221 (preservative), and essential oils. The pH range for this surfactant is 5-6.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Imex SB30) is a sulphate free surfactant. It not only possesses excellent foaming and cleaning properties, but also gives no irritation to both skin and mucous membrane. Gentle Kiddies Liquid Bubble Bath
65% distilled water
25%cocamidopropyl betaine, or a combination of coca betaine anddecyl orcoco glucoside
5%vegetable glycerine
1%Geogard 221 (preservative)
Essential oil of choice, try chamomile or geranium (optional)
5%citric acid solution to adjust the pH
Blend the surfactants together and add the glycerine. Add the preservative to the water, then stirring gently add the surfactant mixture to the water. Blend in any child friendly essential oils and add in the citric acid solution to adjust the pH and youre good to go.
Let the fun begin by adding a dash or two of bubble bath to the running bath water!
