Description
Dried Dong Quai Root is a traditional Chinese herb used to treat hot flushes and other menopausal symptoms, as well as chronic inflammation such as rheumatoid arthritis, endometriosis, and uterine fibroid tumors. Dong Quai is also used as a herbal tonic for women and to aid with recovery after childbirth. Dong Quai may contain coumarin, which should be avoided by anyone using anti-coagulant /blood thinning drugs. Dong Quai is not to be used during pregnancy. Dong Quai may also cause skin reactions and sensitivity to sunlight.

PREPARATION
Decoction: 1-2 teaspoons of root in 1 cup of cold water. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes. Strain. Drink 2-3 times per day.
