Description
Wintergreen essential oil is used to relieve pain, uplift and relax, and to decongest the bronchial system. It is 100% pure and natural, and has a high methyl salicylate content, which makes it numb and warm to the area applied and it is extracted using steam distillation. Wintergreen essential oil is colorless and thin in consistency, with a strong mint, menthol, and pungent aroma. It should be used sparingly and well diluted, never taken orally or applied to open wounds, and should be used with care as it penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the blood. Wintergreen essential oil should not be used by pregnant women or nursing mothers, or by people who are on blood thinning medication or allergic to aspirin.
