PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Cranberry juice has traditionally been used by naturopaths to treat cystitis. D-mannose is the active ingredient in cranberry juice, and preliminary research suggests that supplemental D-mannose might interfere with the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract.
Potassium citrate is included to alkalize the urine, thereby creating unfavourable conditions for the growth of E. coli.
Uva ursi is widely used to treat urinary tract infections and approved by German commission E. It contains allantoin which helps to strengthen the urinary system and the prostate gland.

INDICATIONS
Urinary tract infections.
CONTRA INDICATIONS
The product is contra indicated in patients with kidney disorders and digestive disorders.
WARNINGS
The product may cause green coloured urine, which is of no concern.
INTERACTIONS
Cats claw may lower blood pressure and should therefore be used with care by patients on anti-hypertensive drugs. It should also be used with care by patients on Mevacor and on immunosuppressive therapy.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
There is concern that cats claw may be unsafe based on its use as a contraceptive do not use.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS OF USE
Take 5 to 8 capsules twice daily when symptoms are experienced, continue using for two days after symptoms have disappeared. The dosage may be doubled if the desired effects are not achieved after 2 to 3 days. Do not use over prolonged periods.
SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Discontinue if nausea or stomach upsets occur.The product may cause green coloured urine, which is of no concern.

Nausea and intestinal disorders may develop. The use of the product should be discontinued and medical advice should be sought. Treatment should be supportive and symptomatic.
