Description
Escentia is a line of essential oils that are made in South Africa. The oils are cold-pressed from the fresh, ripe or almost ripe outer peel of citrus fruits. Sweet Orange Essential Oil is one of the oils in the line, and it has a sweet, light and fresh, fruity aldehydic odour. The oils are uplifting and can be used to dispel tension and lift gloomy thoughts. They can also be used to stimulate bile, so may assist in digestion of fats. They could encourage appetite and bring down high body temperature. They are also a good skin tonic. The oils are blended well with other essential oils, such as Angelica, Cinnamon, Coriander, Clove, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniperberry, Neroli, Lavender, Nutmeg, Petitgrain, Rose, Rosewood.

An evergreen tree with shiny green leaves and fragrant white flowers.

Charactersitics:
A pale orange-yellow to dark orange, mobile liquid, which has a sweet, light and fresh, fruity aldehydic odour.

Properties and indications:
MIND:
Dispels tension and lifts gloomy thoughts.
BODY:
Has a calming effect on the stomach. Stimulates bile, so may assist in digestion of fats. May encourage appetite. Brings down high body temperature. Could help to reduce cholesterol levels.
SKIN:
Sweating action speeds out toxins in congested skin. A good skin tonic.
Other uses:
A major flavour component in numerous types of softdrinks. Used as a starter material for natural limonene.
Used in eau-de-colognes.
