Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling for a five-film series about the wizarding world. The first film, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, was released in 2016 and was set in New York. The second film, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, is set in 1927 and moves from New York to London, Paris, and back to Hogwarts. The third film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is set in Paris and is about Grindelwald escaping custody and gathering followers. The fourth film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is set in London and is about Dumbledore enlisting Newt Scamander to help stop Grindelwald. The fifth and final film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is set in Hogwarts and is about Grindelwald trying to raise pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.
