Description
The protagonist, Nina X, is a young girl who was raised in a Maoist cult. After the cult's leader died, Nina was taken to Freedom, a new cult-like society that is based on the principles of communism. Nina is struggling to adapt to the new society and its different rules, which are constantly changing. She is also trying to figure out her identity and what the outside world is like. This novel is a powerful and compelling exploration of the effects of communism on a young girl's life.
