Description
The novel is about a married couple who are transported back in time and have an affair. The wife, Violet, is a musician and the husband, Aaron, is an archaeologist. They are transported back 18 years and Violet falls in love with the younger Aaron. They are soon in a crisis because the older Aaron is in danger of losing his job and their children are in danger of being taken away from them. They must try to fix their marriage before it's too late.

Meanwhile, Violet's musical performances take on a resonance related to the secrets the two are uncovering in both time frames. With their children and Aaron's lives at risk, he and Violet try to repair the damage before it's too late.
