The paint is lightfast and semi-transparent. It has a pigment index of PBr7Green Umber, which is a granulating color. The paint is made with only the finest raw materials and is bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. The gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year, so Schmincke continually test the ingredient and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means that paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again. Among the range are 139 colors, with 95 single pigment hues for clean mixing.
