Description
This is a description of an Eva Solo self-watering orchid pot. The pot has two bowls nested in one, and the plant well and the water well are connected. The orchid can pull water from the water well below, and never again will it drown or dehydrate. To use the pot, remove it from the pot you bought it in, shake any soil loose, and pop it into the top well of the pot. Add orchid growing medium, and use the hole on the side to add water to the well beneath. As long as you keep some water in the well at all times, and feed the plant at the recommended intervals, the orchid should thrive.
With two bowls nested in one, the plant well and the water well, and filaments joining the plant well and the water well, the aerophytic orchid can pull exactly the amount of moisture it needs from the water below.
Never again will you drown (or dehydrate) your delicate orchid. Simply remove from the pot you bought it in, shake any soil loose and pop in into the top well of the pot. Add some orchid growing medium (they are aerophytes, so it's ok if some roots stand outside the growing medium), and use the hole on the side to add water to the well beneath.
As long as you keep some water in the well at all times, and feed the plant at the recommended intervals, it should thrive.
