ZINC (AS ACETATE DIHIDRATE)
9.50 mg
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Zinc is known to have a major influence on the development and integrity of host defences against infection. The barrier functions of the skin and of the pulmonary and gastrointestinal tract are diminished by zinc deficiency.
INDICATIONS
Use for sore throats, hayfever and as an immune booster.
CONTRA INDICATIONS
Sensitivity to any of the ingredients.
WARNINGS

Safe at normal dosage levels.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS OF USE
Suck one lozenge slowly three times daily. Do not chew. Best after meals, preferably avoiding any food or liquids for half an hour as this can cancel out the local zinc ion effect. The dry mouth after-effect is a desirable effect.
SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Possible gastric distress, nausea and vertigo.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT
Overdose can lead to gastric distress, including vomiting and diarrhoea. Treatment is symptomatic.
