The filter is guaranteed by the manufacturer against defects in service life for the specified interval by the vehicle manufacturer. The warranty does not cover failures due to abuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear. If the filter is installed by a qualified technician according to the manufacturer's instructions, the warranty is also conditioned on the filter being fitted in a safety-critical area.
