Description
The Three Ships Whisky 10 Year Old Single Malt is a South African single malt whisky released in 2007. It is a true celebration of why different is worth doing, with a rich and complex character. It is uniquely peaty, and pairs perfectly with smoked salmon, roast leg of lamb and shortbread crumble.
The Three Ships 10 Year Old single malt was initially released as a vintage statement in 2003 and four times thereafter. It is now a non-vintage expression in the Three Ships range.
Crafted using malted barley distilled in copper pot stills. Matured for 10 years, initially in older American oak and then younger second-fill American oak casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.3%.
Nose:Aromas of white pepper, digestive biscuits and gentle caramel unravel on the nose.
Palate:Rich vanilla and toffee notes coat the palate with tropical fruit, spice and a lingering smokiness in the background.
Finish:A long finish of sweet oak, spicy nuttiness and warm peat.
Bottle size: 750ml
Alc: 46,3%
