Ballistix Ballistic 60ML Direct Stream Pepper Spray is a self-defense product that contains oleoresin capsicum (OC) which is a chemical compound that irritates the eyes. The product has an effective range of up to 5 meters and can discharge for up to 30 seconds. The product is also effective against wind direction. Pepper spray is considered less than lethal and can be deadly in rare cases. Handle OC spray with caution and be mindful not to underestimate its offensive capability.

Pepper spray (Also colloquially spoken of 'mace') is an item containing a chemical compound (abbreviated as OC - oleoresin capsicum) that irritates the eyes to cause tears, pain, and temporary blindness used in policing, riot control, crowd control. Its inflammatory effects cause the eyes to close, taking away vision.
This temporary blindness also allows officers to more easily restrain subjects and permits people using pepper spray for self-defense an opportunity to incapacitate their attackers whilst simultaneously allowing for a window of opportunity to escape.

The effects of pepper spray can be severe - including temporary blindness of the target which lasts 1530 minutes. Moreover, It can cause a burning sensation of the skin which lasts about 45 to 60 minutes long.
