The Vantec Dual M.2 SSD Raid Pcie X4 Host Card is a PCIe x4 host card that exploits the latest M.2 SSD technology for Ultra-Fast RAID capability. The design uses a Gen 2 Hardware RAID Controller and the simplest Standard AHCI Drivers that are already built into all the major OSes. This saves time and takes the worries of looking for updated drivers every time there is a major OS update. This RAID will offer very Fast Boot when configuring to boot Server, Workstation or Desktop System. The RAID offers auto rebuilding with a background or off-line capability. It is created to plug into PCIe x4 or better slot with support for PCI Express V3.0 Specs and compatible with V2.0/V1.0. This RAID hardware design also helps offload task and reduces CPU resources. It is transparent to the OS, yet intimately link via the fast PCIe Bus, it is simple, manageable and Heat Management using Cooper Heat Spreader.
