The wine has a blackcurrant, cherry, graphite, and exotic spice nose with a smooth and subtle entry. The mid-plate has a firm, focused palate with flavors of blackberry, perfumed black tea, oregano, and hints of cedar. The wine has exquisite structure and fine-grained, supple tannins with vibrant yet integrated acidity and a charcoal-edged texture that creates complexity in an exceptionally balanced wine. The wine has a blueberry, pencil lead, and bay leaf nose with a fresh, precise finish with hints of cocoa. The wine is 750ml.
The nose is delicate, slightly dusty and very alluring with ample dark fruit, graphite and pencil lead aromas and hints of sandalwood, tobacco, anise and bay leaf creating complexity.
The palate is so smooth and lithe with layers of juicy blueberry and classic cassis flavours balanced with smoky, earthy nuances.
Boekenhoutskloof Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon is juicy and supple with attractive acidity to balance and enough fullness and complexity on the mid-palate. It is classic in style, pliant and opulent, yet textured and elegant with its lush, smooth, cocoa-powdery tannin structure.
