This wine is made from a grape varietal called Touriga Nacional. It is a dark plum red in color and has a complex nose of dark berries, violets, and cacao. The wine is sweet and has dark cherries, white pepper, and toasted oak flavors. It is full-bodied and well-balanced, with complex flavors of cherry cigar and violets, with a lingering aftertaste of dark chocolate and a smooth tannin. This wine is vegan, and is best served with venison and ostrich steaks, roasted lamb shank and springbok carpaccio.
