Description
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. It has a Bordeaux-style blend and is meant to be paired with heavy meats. It has a strong nose of black currant, dark chocolate, and graphite. The wine has a firm tannin which will make it good for ageing.
This Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend shows black currant, dark chocolate and graphite on the nose, while generous use of new oak adds cinnamon and cedar wood aromas to the nose. On the palate the wine shows beautiful intensity and the time in barrel adds a hint of vanilla to palate. Firm tannin promises good ageing potential.
Varietal blend: Cabernet Sauvignon 38%, Cabernet Franc 32%, Merlot 24%, Petit Verdot 6%. Bordeaux-style blend.
Pairs well with heavy meats, such as rib of beef with truffle as well as roast lamb with garlic and rosemary.
