Description
This wine is from the Jmb Cabernet Franc vineyard in Napa Valley and has been aged for 26 months in new oak. The wine has a deep ruby red color and expressive aromas of blackcurrant, plums, pencil shavings, and spicy toasted oak. The wine has a palate that features the blackcurrant and plum flavors that persist, backed by the toasty oak flavors from the new oak aging. The tannins are sumptuous, making this wine well-rounded and able to age for a good 10 years or more. This wine would pair beautifully with rare roast beef, lamb, and more complex dishes of feathered game.
Rietvallei JMB Cabernet Franc is a 100% cultivar wine. It is a full-bodied, complex wine with excellent fruit and wood integration. Lots of work in the vineyard and minimal interference in the cellar allows this wine to express its terroir to the fullest.
