Description
This wine is made from older Chenin Blanc vines that have been selected for their ability to produce a light wine. The wine is fruity with notes of apple and pineapple.
Some of the older Chenin Blanc vineyards were selected to be harvested for Robertson Winery Chenin Blanc Light. The older Chenin Blanc vineyards normally, over time, reach a natural balance between crop level and canopy size.
Vineyards selected for this wine are some of the less vigorous growing Chenin Blancs with an open canopy that allows enough diffused sunlight into the canopy. This diffused sunlight enhances the development of the tropical flavours of this wine. Ripe yellow apple and pineapple on the palate with upfront tropical fruit with floral notes.
