They have chosen to stock Herbatint, a permanent hair dye that is free of ammonia, resorcinol, and parabens. They also believe that Herbatint is the safest option currently available on the market for those who do not wish to use henna-based dye. Some of the ingredients in Herbatint (like propylene glycol) are on their list of ingredients to avoid, but they believe that grey is beautiful and that if you are going to dye your hair, this is the next safest option. This decision took them two years to make.
Herbatint permanent hair dye is free of ammonia, resorcinol and parabens. We believe it is the safest option that currently exists on the market for those who do not wish to use henna-based dye. It contains propylene glycol which is on our list of ingredients to avoid, and some other ingredients (like Ethanolamine) that we would not usually allow. We think grey is beautiful, but if you are going to buy dye, and dont want to use a henna product, this is the next safest option. This decision took us 2 years to make, and was swayed by the large amount of customer requests to stock this product.
