Description
This wine is a Pinotage, a red wine made from the Pinot Noir grape. It is easygoing and unpretentious, and is excellent company for any night of the week. It has beautiful perfumed notes of black cherry, forest berries, and subtle allspice, leading to a smooth, rounded mid-palate with balanced acidity and a lingering, fruity aftertaste. The wine is vegan, and can be served with grilled lamb chops or burgers with caramelized onions, mushroom risotto or mildly spiced vegetable curry.
With its dark and juicy fruit and silky tannins, this easygoing and unpretentious red is excellent company no matter the night of the week. Although it plays nice with most red meats (sweet and sticky pulled pork anyone?!) we love it with bobotie and other Cape Malay-style curries.
